Ripon charity is the latest to benefit from It's Clean Ltd's 25th anniversary fund.

Ripon Men’s Shed has become the latest charity to benefit from a fund launched by local cleaning company It’s Clean Ltd to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary.

David Whan, of It’s Clean Ltd, presented a cheque for £250 to Andrew Makey of Ripon’s Men’s Shed, a charitable organisation that encourages people to come together to work on practical projects or to share and learn about craft skills in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

The Shed has a fully-equipped workshop with power tools, hand tools and woodworking lathes. Members can pop in whenever they like during opening hours to get involved in woodworking and other practical craft activities.

Andrew Makin said: “Our mission is to improve physical and mental health by providing a safe space and a welcoming workshop where people can come and make friends and share skills.

“The donation from It’s Clean Ltd is a fantastic boost for us and will help us support more people to stay physically and socially active.”

David Whan of It’s Clean Ltd said: “We are delighted to be supporting Ripon Men’s Shed as our latest anniversary fund beneficiary. This is a hardworking charity that helps to give purpose and focus to older people in the community and promote wellbeing through physical and cognitive activity as well as social interaction.”

There are over 1000 Men’s sheds across the UK. To find out more about Ripon Men’s Shed contact shedmanager@ripon-mens-shed.org or visit www.ripon-mens-shed.org
